A Healthy Diet Of Spam?

This one defies belief. A study conducted by the University of Alberta has concluded that unsolicited marketing email-spam-can be good for you.

According to a report on the study at LiveScience.com, people who received spam promoting healthy lifestyles improved their body mass index while those who didn't receive the spam did not.

According to researcher Ron Plotnikoff, ""We need to improve the population's health. Also we need more creative ways to reach the ‘hard to reach' groups."

Sure, but by clogging in-boxes with unwanted messages and further deteriorating public trust in email? Why not just telemarket the messages? Sheesh.
